Learn to Play

The Learn to Play Program is designed to be a young person’s introduction to the sport of Softball. The program emphasizes FUN, ACTION, and a POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE with a gradual introduction to non-stressful competition. Children of all skill levels from ages 5-10 will achieve the same number of repetitions during drills – offering a high success rate for every participant. The goal is to improve every player’s self confidence and practice the skills necessary to successfully take part in the (adult) game of Softball in later years. With Learn to Play, Coaching has never been so easy! Designed to be easily administered, Moms and Dads can step into the role of coach with little or no experience. Softball Canada has also developed a Learn to Play CD that allows coaches to view the drills explained in the lesson plans through video demonstrations.
