The LEARN TO PLAY program is a revolutionary way of introducing the sport of Softball to children. The overall approach is to facilitate activities that foster the involvement of ALL players, including those with both high and low skill levels. Each child that participates will experience excitement, enjoyment, and success. Activities and lead-up games are patterned after informal playground games that promise an hour of FUN and LOTS OF ACTION. The goal is that all participants go home at the end of the day happy and tired, while improving their fitness level and enjoyment of sport.

The BOYS FASTBALL program is available for young male athletes who want to compete in North America’s largest participation sport. With an emphasis on quickness, speed, and defense, fastball offers FUN and EXCITEMENT in a competitive environment. With a larger diameter ball and shorter base distances, the ball will be hit more often and there will be MORE ACTION around the diamond. The program is best suited for young boys who want to develop their abilities through a positive and engaging sport experience.
GIRLS FASTBALL
Ages: 9 – 18
Participants: GIRLS ONLY

Contact: Girls Coordinator at girls@amfa.ca
The GIRLS FASTBALL program is great platform for athletes who enjoy both the competitive and SOCIAL aspects of softball. Focusing on further developing fundamental skills through positive instruction and encouragement, the program is best suited for girls who are WILLING TO LEARN and WANT TO HAVE FUN, but do not necessarily want the high stress and pressure that goes along with elite level competition. While the practice and game schedules are not as intense as they are in the rep program, the overall experience is just as positive and rewarding

The SENIOR FASTBALL program offers COMPETITION and COMRADERY for both men and women who love the sport too much to let it go after their minor days are over. Although not officially governed by the AMFA, the senior program works in conjunction with Minor Softball to support and promote the game of softball at the local level, encouraging participation and involvement within the community. If you are interested in getting involved with Senior Fastball or are looking for a team to play for, please contact Harv Weins.

The AMFA is a non-profit organization affiliated with Softball BC and Softball Canada.
